Join University Ambassadors

We are excited you are interested in being one of the first friendly faces to welcome students to our campus. We hope to see your application!

When is recruitment?

This year, recruitment will take place in the Fall 2022 semester. We encourage prospective Ambassadors to:

  • Attend one of the information sessions listed below, if possible, AND
  • Submit an application by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 21. Note that you will have to be logged into your Missouri State account to access the application. 

How do I join?

You must apply and be selected. Applicants are required to have:

  • A full-time undergraduate status,
  • Completed at least 24 hours at Missouri State by May 2023 AND
  • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

When’s the next info session?

  • September 7 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 14 – 5 to 6 p.m. – PSU Union Club (Room 400)
  • September 22 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • September 28 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • October 6 – 6 to 7 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • October 12 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • October 20 – 3 to 4 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center

Dates to keep in mind

  • August 21, 2022 – Visit our table at the Student Organization Festival from 3 to 5 p.m. on the West Mall.
  • October 21, 2022 – Applications due. 
  • October 28, 2022 – Applicants will be notified of their interview times for the Nov. 1-3 interview sessions.
  • November 1-3, 2022 – Interview sessions conducted.
  • November 12, 2022 – Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decisions.
  • December 13, 2022 – Hiring paperwork must be completed.
  • February 5, 2023 – Ambassador Training Retreat
  • March 5, 2023 – Ambassador Training Mini-Retreat
