The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is an individual membership organization dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of technical communication. Its 24,000 members include technical writers, editors, graphic designers, multimedia artists, and others whose work involves making technical information understandable and available to those who need it.
The Missouri State Student Chapter of STC serves the needs of technical communication students in Springfield, Missouri. The Missouri State Chapter held its first meeting in March 1993 and now has an equal membership of students and professionals.

Regional Conference
The STC 18th Annual Regional Student Conference will be held at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri on Saturday April 24, 2021. Attend presentations by a variety of speakers in the field as well as from colleges and universities. Please register before conference day. See our Annual Conference Agenda for more details.
The TPW Faculty Workshop/Professional Development Day will be on Friday April 23, 2021.
