• Call the Office of Student Employment at (417)836-5627 to ACCEPT or DECLINE your SCAT membership.

• Complete the Required Equity and Diversity Online Training Programs. There are three courses that need to be taken: (1) Preventing Sexual Harassment; (2) Preventing Employment Discrimination and (3) In Their Shoes Disability Awareness. Please print out the certificates, sign them and bring them to the SCAT Advisor to put into your file. This MUST be completed before you can begin working at your agency.
• Start thinking about which agency you might like to serve at or what areas you would like to get experience in while doing your service. Review the updated service project listings to know what projects are available.
• Feel free to call agencies or to do research on any agencies that you are interested in to help narrow down your top choices. A tour of the facilities can be useful in aiding your decision.
• If you know what agency you would like to serve call Student Employment Services at 836-5627 to begin the placement process. If you do not know where you would like to serve, call or come in to meet with the SCAT advisor to discuss your questions or agency interests if you have time before the fall semester begins. You should make you agency placement decision no later than the first week of the fall semester.
• Plan to attend the first SCAT meeting of the semester.
