How is the concert funded/why do students have to pay?

The Student Involvement Fee funds Student Organization Funding Allocation Council (SOFAC), SAC and the OSE. These funds are then divided into individual programming budgets within SAC. The concerts budget cannot accommodate the full cost of the show and therefore, students have to pay a reduced ticket price.

Where is the concert?

The concert is being held at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for current MSU students go on sale Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Public tickets go on sale Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. 

How do I purchase tickets?

- Students: Any MSU Box Office on campus (PSU, JQH Arena, JKHHPA, and Craig)

- Public: Online at www.missouristatetix.com, any MSU Box Office, or by phone (417-836-7678 or toll-free 1-888-476-7849)

Can we charge our tickets to our student account?

No.

How much are tickets?

-Students: Orchestra tickets (including pit)- $15 // Mezzanine tickets- $10

-Public: Orchestra tickets (including pit)- $25 // Mezzanine tickets- $20

Will there be any VIP/backstage passes/meet and greet passes available?

No.

How many tickets may I buy?

No more than two tickets may be purchased.  In order to buy two student tickets, two BearPass IDs must be presented.

Will my old MSU ID or Zipcard work as a student ID?

No, you must have a current, valid, MSU BearPass.  If yout do not have a BearPass ID, you can get one from the BearPass office in the basement of the PSU.

Are the tickets General Admission (GA)?

Tickets are general admission, but will only allow the ticket holder access to one level of the venue.  Orchestra tickets will allow the ticket holder to select any seat on the Orchestra (lower) level, which includes the pit section, and the Mezzanine tickets will allow ticket holders to select any seat on the Mezzanine (balcony) level.  For more information about the seating chart at JKHHPA, please visit their website: http://www.hammonshall.com/SeatingChart.htm.

How will I get up front/in the pit?

The first 150 people will be allowed into the 'pit' which is standing room only.  You will receive a wristband at the door if you are part of the 150.

Is there separate seating for students and public?

No.

What time will the doors open?

6:00 pm.

Where is Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts located?

On the Missouri State campus (525 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway // Springfield, MO 65806).

Where can I park?

Free parking is available in Bear Park North (located at 725 E. Cheery Street in the northwest quadrant of the Missouri State campus).

Will alcohol be sold at this event?

No.  This event is sponsored by a student organizaiton and MSU campus organizations are not allowed to have alcohol present at their events.

May I take photos?

Photography and recording is strictly prohibited.

What is the age requirement?

This is an all-ages show.

Are there any opportunities for me/other organizations/FSL groups to volunteer?

Not at this time, most of our volunteer staff will be SAC students and venue staff.
