Dr. John Heywood is a Professor of Biology with research interests in evolutionary theory, plant population biology, conservation genetics, experimental design, biostatistics, and the philosophy of science. He is currently a Co-Chair of the Missouri State University Pre-Medical Committee.

Dr. Alicia Mathis is a Professor of Biology and the Department Head of the Biology Department. Her research interests include the behavioral ecology of salamanders and fish focusing on three primary areas: (1) aggression and territoriality, (2) predator/prey interactions, and (3) chemical communication. She is currently a Co-Chair of the Missouri State Pre-Medical Society.

Dr. Kathy Hughes is an Instructor of Biology teaching Microbiology. She received her M.D. from the University of Missouri School of Medicine but no longer practices. She is currently on the Pre-Medical Committee.

Dr. Thomas Tomasi is a Professor of Biology (in the Graduate College) with research interests in animal physiological ecology, specifically energetics of mammals, thyroid function, hibernation physiology, and reproductive endocrinology.
