On March 3, 2012 the OBGS officers hosted a stream clean-up effort between Sunset Avenue and Jefferson. Several graduate students attended as well as Dr. Ligon and family. The group picked up litter as well as cleaned large woody debris from the stream. A few unusual items were found including a plastic toy sword and license plate. Several bird species were present as well as fish and a northern watersnake, making the effort worthwhile for both residents and wildlife.
