Paint Up for Bears and Lady Bears Basketball!

Basketball season is almost here! This year we want to encourage student organizations and groups to show off their MSU spirit by painting up at basketball games. These groups will receive front-row seats in the student section. If you have a group of 10-15 people who plan to paint up for a Bears or Lady Bears basketball game please contact Maroon Madness at MaroonMadness@missouristate.edu. Below are the guidelines for the 2011-12 season:

• Group MUST paint up and include at least 10 people
• Groups must contact Maroon Madness at least 24 hours in advance to receive tickets
• Groups must pick up tickets 15 minutes prior to member scan-in and must have at least half the group present
• Groups can reserve paint-up tickets to games at any time on a first come, first serve basis by e-mailing MaroonMadness@missouristate.edu

Executive Board Opening

Maroon Madness has opened the application process for another at-large member on our Executive Board. Applications were sent out this week via MSU e-mail. If you're interested please complete your application and submit it to current president Contessa Marmouget at Contessa010@live.missouristate.edu by Oct. 17.

2011-12 Maroon Madness members will have the chance to win the following exciting prizes:

7 Points--Water Bottle (OR Classic Maroon Madness basketball shorts while supplies last)
15 Points--Camp Chair
21 Points--Hoodie!

Your next chance to earn points toward Maroon Madness prizes will be on Oct. 8 at the football game. We'll be scanning cards from 1-2:10 pm and in the 10 minutes directly following the game. See you there!

Football Season!

MSU's home football schedule begins this Saturday at 1 pm vs. #2 UNI Panthers. Come out and support the Bears as they try to knock off one of the best teams in FCS. It's also Family Weekend so bring all your relatives! We want to pack Plaster and give the Football Bears a huge home-field advantage. We'll be scanning cards from 12-1:10 pm at our table under the student bleachers inside Plaster Sports Complex. We'll also be at BearFest Village pre-game, and we'll provide eyeblack to anyone who's interested.

**We'll also be scanning cards in the ten minutes directly following the game. This will be for members who arrived late and stayed for most of the game. You will not be able to scan your card twice.

NOTE: You can pick up your membership card and t-shirt and sign up for Maroon Madness on Saturday!

Shirts and Membership Cards

Hey Maroon Madness!

We've had a couple questions about T-Shirts and Membership cards, so we wanted to update everyone.

As for shirts - We were overwhelmed by demand (which is good!), so we are currently out of small and medium shirt sizes. We plan to have more by the next football game. However, we will keep everyone updated and let you know if we get them before that.

As for membership cards - We'll have cards available at the events this weekend. The Lady Bears Soccer team hosts Oklahoma at 5 p.m. tomorrow (Friday). We'll start check-in at 4:30. Also, the Bears Volleyball team will be hosting Oklahoma Saturday. The game is at 7:30p.m., and we'll start checking in at 6:30.

So come on out to support your Bears as we try to Beat Oklahoma this weekend!

Upcoming Point Opportunities

First, this weekend is "Beat Oklahoma" weekend. The Lady Bears Soccer team will be playing against Oklahoma at 5 p.m. on Friday at the Plaster Sports Complex.  Saturday, the Volleyball team will also host Oklahoma. That game starts at 7:30 p.m. at Hammons Student Center.

Second, Maroon Madness is announcing a raffle for an iPod Touch!  You can enter by attending two of three volleyball games.  If you attend all three games, you receive two entries. YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE FINAL GAME TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PRIZE!

Here are the dates of the volleyball games Maroon Madness will be at:

• Saturday, Sept. 11th vs. Oklahoma
• Friday, Sept. 24th vs. Indiana State
• Saturday, Nov. 6th vs. Creighton
