Maroon Madness Executive Board Application

Posted by Jeff on April 20, 2010 @ 4:42 pm

It is my pleasure to announce that we will soon be selecting next year's executive board members for Maroon Madness! We have a lot of vacancies at every possible position, so I encourage as many of you as possible to apply.

Applications are to be emailed to current president, Joseph Highley at highley07@live.missouristate.edu no later than 4/25/10. We will then be conducting interviews with those applications that are selected on Monday the 26th and Tuesday the 27th of April from 6-9pm both nights.

Some special needs that we might be looking for are those with computer and website skills, language and communication skills, spread sheet skills, as well as art and design skills amongst many others. Even if none of those are your particular strong point, there may still be an area of the executive board that is good for you.

Senior Night for the men's basketball team will be this Wednesday at 7pm. This is the last men's home game of the year so its important to come out and support our team!

The women also have a game on Friday at 7pm and then Senior Night for them is two days later on Sunday at 2pm.

Lets end the year with victories for all our teams and send both the Bears and Lady Bears into tournament play with some momentum!

As per usual, ticket hand out will begin one hour before the game and end promptly at game time.

GO BEARS!

Ticket Handout Times

Posted by Joseph on December 8, 2009 @ 6:04 pm

Starting with men's game on 12/9 we will begin all ticket handouts 1 hour before tip off for men and women's basketball games. Ticket handout for Maroon Madness members will continue to be held in the ticket lobby of Hammons Student Center

Also, if you still have not picked up your shirt or have earned enough points to receive shorts, we have both of them available in all sizes. They may be picked up before any basketball game.

Hope to see all of you at more games in the future. Both basketball teams have had great starts thus far!

Basketball coaches thank Maroon Madness

Posted by Kevin on November 17, 2009 @ 5:41 pm

Bears head coach Cuonzo Martin and assistant coach Jon Harris thanked Maroon Madness for your attendance and intensity at last night's win over Auburn.

"A big thank you to @maroonmadness," Harris wrote on Twitter. "Our sixth man was out in full force tonight against Auburn.

"We need your help every night!"

Martin agreed with Harris.

"Great win tonight against a tough SEC team in Auburn," he wrote. "The crowd support was great.

"Maroon Madness, thank you for the intensity!"

If you ever questioned how much Maroon Madness means to your Bears, this is your answer. The noise, cheering and intensity you bring to JQH Arena and Plaster Field makes a big difference and does not go unnoticed.

Let's keep it going tomorrow night with a great turnout at the Lady Bears game!
