Student Board
The LSC is a student run ministry along with the help of
the Director of Ministry, Lisa Highley. The students are elected into the
positions after taking Special Gift Inventories to help match them up with the
best position that fits their gifts and talents. The process to elect a new
board starts in November of each year when all the students at the Center take
the Special Gift Inventory. Then there is a nomination period of two to three
weeks where any active student can nominate another active student that they
think should hold a position. After nominations close, a committee is formed
that sorts through the Special Gift Inventories and nominations to find a few
students who best represent each position with their gifts, talents, and
personalities. Then elections take place. On a Prayer and Praise Night, each of
the students nominated and chosen by the committee has a chance to speak and
only active students are allowed to vote. We find out that night who will
hold each position and a new board is formed. The board members hold their
positions for a calendar year.
