Sometimes even with proper management, student organizations still need help. From financial assistance to education and support, there are a variety of offices on campus that can help you reach your goals.  Student organizations also have a variety of benefits available to them.  Registered student organizations  are eligible to reserve space, advertise and fundraise on campus; they may get a mailbox in the Plaster Student Union student organization office complex (PSU 111) and are eligible to apply for office space, lockers, and funding from the Student Organization Funding and Allocation Council (SOFAC).  They can also have an email address and website through the University specifically for their student organization.  These privileges are not usually extended beyond members of the organization who are students or employees of Missouri State University.

Mailboxes

Mailboxes are located in the Student Organizations area in the 1st floor of the Plaster Student Union, Room 111.  To obtain a mailbox for a student organization indicate this on the database for your Student Organization.  Once you have done so, come to the Office of Student Activities, sign your mailbox agreement, and receive your combination.

Student Organization Web Sites
Web pages can be a very useful tool in promoting an event or organization.  You may obtain an organization web page online or by having the president of the organization email webmaster@missouristate.edu. Your organization's web address may be linked to your organization's page located on the Student Organization website.  Student Activities reserves the right to refuse a link if the club site is not within the parameters of operations as outlined by the Office of Web and New Media.

Conference Services & Catering

Planning is the key to successful events. A major part of that planning is securing the appropriate facility for your event.  Conference Services can help organizations find the best location on campus for their event.  University facilities may be reserved for meetings and events free of charge for registered student organizations. For facility reservations, call Conference Services and Catering at 417.836.5653 or visit their office in PSU 302.  For your convenience catering is located in the conference services office suite.  From peanuts and punch to a full course meal, catering can help you with all your events.  All events held on campus involving food must contract with catering.  There are many selections to choose from to meet your needs. So when making those facility reservations, ask about catering services too!  Organizations may want to pay special attention to the late night and large events policy when planning.  For more information on planning an event, see the Reservations and Catering FAQ link to the left.
