What is STAR Awards?

STAR Awards (Student Talent and Recognition) is an award ceremony that celebrates individual and organizational accomplishments throughout the year. Missouri State University hosted its first ever STAR Awards in 1996 and has recognized over 300 students, advisors, and student organizations since its beginning. This occassion is best described as a business formal/cocktail event which provides a buffet dinner and surrounds its guests with elegant decor.

Date: Monday, April 29th, 2013 Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm

Location: Plaster Student Union, Grand Ballroom *Invitation ONLY

About the Awards & Application Process: On average,120 applications are submitted to the Office of Student Engagement each year and nominations are taken from faculty, staff, students, and student organizations. We encourage you to make nominations for every award possible, for there are two categories: organization and individual. Everyone must submit one (1) complete stapled copy of each award nomination along with its (1) cover sheet.

Be sure to read the instructions which are included on each application form. Failure to submit a completed application will NOT be considered in the judging process. No applications will be accepted via email, and all applications must be typed.
