

S.S. Genesis in 1989

On December 2, 1989, the Rho Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated became the first black Greek-lettered sorority on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Our chapter was chartered by seven strong-minded women who believed in taking a personal role in community involvement and service on the Missouri State campus and in surrounding areas. The chartering members have created a solid foundation that has allowed our chapter to remain successful and productive over the past 17 years. These women are:
